Teen Parenting class

Do you worry about your teen’s attitude?

Then this class is for you!

The “Becoming a Love and Logic Parent®” workshop provides practical tools and advice that can help you discover new approaches to:

  • Get your kids to listen… the first time
  • End the whining, arguing, and negotiating
  • Deliver effective consequences

The Becoming a Love and Logic Parent® teen workshop for designed specifically for parents of teenagers, but the principles apply to children of all ages.

Attending this parenting class always involves some laughs as well as some thought-provoking discussions.  Shelly’s emphasis is on helping parents build healthy, strong relationships with their kids that will last a lifetime.

During the class parents will:

  • See videos of the founders of the Love and Logic Institute, Inc.telling stories (these always provide some laughs)
  • Review and discuss the videos
  • Hear real-life parenting success stories of the skills in action
  • Do simple exercises to bring the concepts to life
  • Ask questions about specific parenting issues
  • Problem solve with other parents
  • Do a little role-playing
  • Have more fun than you think you should in a parenting class!

Week 1:”How to Set Limits with Teens”
Discover techniques to end whining, arguing, and negotiating
Learn about consequences other than taking things away and grounding

Week 2:”Are you Picking a Fight or Setting a Limit?”
Discover the language of effective limit setting.
Learn how to get cooperation the first time you ask.

Week 3: “Problem Solving with your Teen”
Discover how to guide your teen to solve their own problems.
Learn how to get your teen to contribute to family chores.
